Daily Program

Different residential treatment centres follow varying guides and programs when helping their patients cope up with alcohol and drug addiction. At the Sydney Retreat, we follow a holistic program that gives patients the ability to focus on recovery without distraction while also equipping them with the life tools they need to succeed post-recovery. Below are some of the everyday activities throughout the 30-day residential care program:

A day in our residential care program

  • 7:15 am – Meditation 
  • 7:30 am – Breakfast
  • 8:00 am – Study groups on the introductory text of “The Big Book” by Alcoholic Anonymous.
  • 10:00 am – A separate living sober study group.
  • 11:00 am – Lecture presentation
  • Noon – Lunch 
  • 1:00 pm – Community meeting and meditation 
  • 2:00 pm – Big Book Worksheets Group
  • 3:00 pm – Personal time 
  • 6:00 pm – Dinner 
  • 7:00 pm – In-house/outside recovery meetings
  • 9:00 pm – 10 step study – this is a self-evaluation session where patients do some self-review to check their progress and reflect on their goals.
